While we had hoped that a simple server reset would have our site back up, we have learned that our database is irreparable.
We do plan on returning in the near future.

You know, I’ve donated several times to both z-degrees and my former music forum and I’m starting to wonder if I should have bothered. It doesn’t seem to help.

I suggest you guys look into using a CMS system. something like ExpressionEngine, where you can administrate and handle better in the database.
I like to help for free if you need to switch to ExpressionEngine. since you can fully customize your design for the site and have a CMS that allow you to built on it.

Having lost the original forum blows, but I am glad i came across these news. I have been waiting for Z-degrees to get back on its feet ever since we couldn’t reach it anymore, it’s has always been my 1st choice whenever I wanted some new or old korean music, not just because of the extensive database, but because of the nice community.
Looking forward to the new site, blogs work well but forums are more community-oriented (more interaction). Also hope all the DDLs that were compiled can be rescued, especially the Discographies section.

Another example of CMS system is Joomla and Durpal which are also a popular ones which will allow you guys to manage the site very easy and not alot of coding is required.

I was heartbroken when I couldn’t access ZD starting a few weeks back… I thought it got shut down! I’m grateful that you guys are trying to start it again… I will help in any way to replenish the song archives with whatever music I have.
